Aim: To make a presentation that investigates different renewable energy's.

Section 1: Title Page

Make a title page that incorporates all renewable energy 's Hydro, Solar, Wind and Wave.

Section 2: Definitions

Define and provide a picture of each energy type.
  1. Hydro Energy
  2. Solar Energy
  3. Wind Energy
  4. Wave Energy
Section 3; Investigate each of the 4 Energy types.
( Hydro ,Solar ,Wind ,Wave )

  1. Type:
  2. Is it used in NZ ?
  3. Other Countries that use it?
  4. How is it used to generate electricity?
  5. Draw and label a diagram of the main parts of the electricity generator? This can be done on paper and uploaded or on a drawing program on your device. I do not want any Internet images or pictures. They must be hand drawn using a ruler and labelled.

Section 4: Renewable Energy in the future.

List 10 ways that renewable energy will be used in the future to replace our current activities.

Decomposing and recycling

Aim: To learn about the rate that different materials decompose.
Hypothesis: I think banana will rot first then goes to the paper then bread and so on to the styrofoam

Materials:
  1. 4 Test tubes
  2.   banana
  3.   styrofoam cup
  4.   test tube holder
  5.   paper
  6.   bread
  7.   water
Steps:
  1.   put the banana, cup, paper, and bread in the test tubes
  2.   put the tubes in the holder
  3.   wait as much as the table shows below
  4.   check up on the samples
  5.  write down your findings on what rotted quickest

My investigation on climate change

Deforestation
DEFINITION:

What are trees used for?

For wood, furniture, books, paper, stationary, houses and tools

How does deforestation effect climate change?

If there was no trees then carbon dioxide would be floating around and also keep the sun's heat trapped in the earth's atmosphere

Image result for deforestation

Ice Cap melt
DEFINITION:

If all the ice melted what will happen?

The regions that are low to the sea like NZ would have some parts underwater also some marine life will die and polar animals will possibly be extinct

I hope you learned something new and bye

Pollution at the sea

Pollution at the sea

Acidification

Definition: is when acidification is added to water

Q.1 What is happening to the oceans?

Answer: the ocean is sucking up all the carbon dioxide which is making the ocean acidic

Q.2 what does this do to the shellfish?

Answer: the shellfish are struggling to produce calcium so its dying or just rotting away

How does climate change contribute to the acidification of our ocean?

The rain carries the carbon dioxide and places it in the ocean???

I Recommend solar because its free and reliable
But coal can cause pollution

Solar Power

Solar Energy
Aim: To find out which color attracts the suns heat

Hypothesis: I think Black because its the opposite to reflecting white

Materials:

1. 2 Tin Foil Sheets
2. 3 Plastic cups
3. 2 Black Sheets
4. 1 White Paper
5. Heat Lamp
6. Water
7. Thermometer

Steps

1. Put water in each cup about like 5th a cup
2. Wrap the sheets and paper around each cup
3. plug in the heat lamp
4. make the lamp face the cups
5. put the other sheets under the cups that are the same as the ones on top
6. dip thermometer in cup
7. every 15 mins check temperature

Findings: Black is hottest
