Philippines independence day

Philippines independence day

Magandang Umaga, this week we are learning about the Philippines independence day.

Did you know that the Philippines independence day is celebrated on Friday 12 June every year?

Did you know that Philippines independence day means independence from Spain and it also means Day of Freedom

Did you know that the Philippines flag has three meanings unity, peace, and war plus if the flag has red on top and blue on the bottom it means war but if blues on top and reds on the bottom then that means peace?

If you want to celebrate this day I recommend doing these

  • Pay a visit to local museums
  • Watch a Filipino movie
  • Take a stroll to heritage streets
  • Go food tripping
  • Ride a kalesa
If you want to eat some traditional food here's some you could try Adobo, Beef tapa, Lechon and Sisig
